"Alex is so badly missed, he was my little prince and I cannot believe he has gone.
Alex is quite a shy cat and very wary of strangers or strange things, but was fine with us and although not a lap cat would let you know when he wanted love and would come for a stroke or a scratch under the chin, that was his favourite. He loved food and he was free to come and go but would usually be back by night for his dinner. The longest he would stay out would be a day and a night before he was back. We lost Charlie a year ago, our other cat who he grew up with and so we gave Charlie a year to come home before getting a new cat. He never came back and so we got Pixie. Alex wasn't keen, as he had been the only cat of the household for a year, but I thought he would settle down and get used to her but then out of the blue he left. The last time I saw him he was on the bed lying down purring and i was scratching his neck, although he was a bit mardy about the new arrival he seemed content enough and happy enough still but that was the last I saw of him.
