Chi came to us last week after my neice cornelia died at the age of 38. She had been unwell for some time and had asked that I look after her chi when she died.

Chi had lived with cornelia for all of her 7 years and they had a very close bond. When Chi first moved into my house, it took her a while to settle and start eating as she is grieving for her mum and not used to a busy and noisy household.

She is used to a cat flap and is very clean, she seemed to be coming round and was very friendly and loving always wanting a stroke or attention and becoming friends with the rabbits that share the house. Although she has got a fiesty side and does not like being picked up or put in a cat basket.

The weather since she has been missing has been wet and windy and there has been no sign of her in the surrounding area that we have heard of. We have checked ours and neighbours sheds and garages, we have been out after dark calling her and speaking to children and dog walkers. Her cushion is outside and we have put warm smelly fish just inside the cat flap at dawn attracting every cat in the area but her. This afternoon we are going out to post flyers and put up posters with her description on. Unfortunately we do not have a clear photo of her yet but are working on it.

"I adopted a 7yr old very loving cat following the death of my
young neice who had asked me to look after her cat when she was gone. Her name is Chi and she was with me a week before she went missing. She is still grieving but was settling in slowly and had begun eating and looking for lots of cuddles and attention. I miss her and feel I have let my neice down, I am also extremely worried for her safety and well being as she does not know the area and is very sad and disorientated following recent events. Please help me find this loving little girl xx.
