Tufter is extremely friendly and easy to approach / handle. In fact On Wednesday 22nd February at 6am, he followed my housemate down to the bus stop at the bottom of the hill, then turned and started trotting back up. But he never came back to eat his breakfast that day or since. All his life he has never strayed far from home. It's very unusual for him to be away for a few hours, let alone days, and he usually announces himself by miaowing all the way through the garden and into the house until someone answers. When he can't find anyone, he trots up to the local vet and they call me on my mobile to let me know. His body hasn't been picked up by the street cleaners or the vet and no-one has phoned the number on his collar. A few people along Albert Avenue saw my leaflets and got in touch to say they saw him on Wednesday, but no-one has seen him since that day.
On the other hand, if he has had an accident, I just need to know so I can move on. |
