Bruno is a large cat who looks a bit of a bruiser but is incredibly laid back and people friendly. he constantly purrs, even at the vets and has never shown any agression towards humans. if you stroke his belly he will reach gently for your hand and lick it.

Bruno lives on a boat and has never gone missing in his whole 9 years. he is very used to continuously cruising and exploring new areas, never straying far. he is very curious and has been known to get on other boats, but there weren't any within the vicinity when he disappeared. he loves to hunt at night and particularly enjoys this during a full moon, which it was on the night he went missing. there was also still a good 6" of snow and i think that he might well have strayed too far and then found it difficult to find his way back to the boat.

We had been moored at eynsham lock for 5 days when he went missing so he had had plenty of time to get to know his surroundings. he was in very good health and in fact his only reason to visit a vet for any other reason than healthchecks, worming etc. was for treatment of an abccess last august after what we think was a bite from another cat.

Bruno has a sister ginny and we also have 3 dogs, all of who get on really well - Bruno would often join us for a walk with the dogs and always greeted the dogs brushing up against them. he also often slept with our dog polly in her basket and sometimes slept on top of the little jack russels.

bruno was one of four kitten born to a stray cat that i had adopted and i felt a special bond with him from the day he arrived. we kept him and his sister ginny and although quite different in personality, they both have the most amazing natures. many times friends have wanted to put bruno in their bag and take him home because he is just so laid back and sociable, loving a fuss from anyone and purring constantly.

He is so dearly loved and we are missing him dreadfully and worrying as it is so out of character for him to go missing. we will never stop looking and hope that someone somewhere might have some information about his whereabouts
