Max is a great character, he is very loving and affectionate. When my dad was looking for Marcie (his sister) one day in the house he was looking under the table and Max was on it and he kept tapping my dad on his head as though to say 'forget her and play with me' There was nothing different going on in his life but yesterday he managed to open the kitchen window and climb out. Usually he is a housecat so we are concerned about his ability to cope with traffic, other animals and strangers. He is also a very beautiful cat (I know all cats are!) and children and adults alike are always attracted to him. However, he is also very trusting and would not realise if someone was likely to frighten him or hurt him. He escaped out of the kitchen window once before (we usually keep it locked now to prevent this) and some local children fired a toy gun at him which frightened him and he ran off, when we found him that time he was quite stressed and scared. His sister Marcie lives with us and she is ok. Though they would sometimeas have disagreements, they both slept on the bed with me and each night Max would wash Marcie's face and forehead. (until she got fed up of it and chased him away!) The day he went missing we were out shopping and although the day started off bright and sunny there was very heavy rain later on. Today it has been dry. Max would not like the rain, he loves to lie in the sunshine. We have looked all around the area and further afield, we have walked in the varied directions he could have taken when he left the house. We have other people looking and I have also put his pictures on facebook. I am going to make some posters to put up around the area and I have left the garden gate open and put food out for him in case he comes back when I am in work. |
