Cookie
is a beautiful cat. She is very independent and likes to
go out a lot. She has gone for 2 to 3 days before but always came back.
She likes to play only when she wants to and does not like to be fussed over too much and hates to be groomed.
She loves us and comes easily only to people she knows very well and not to strangers. She always comes running to welcome us back home and does not like us going out and leaving her. She always tried to run after us whenever we tried to leave the house when she is around.

She hates the trip to the vet and cries all the way there and back. I think it is the travelling she hates. She is very nervous around cars and is always careful crossing the roads. She loves hunting and often brings back mice as presents for us. She loses her collar most of the time so we were often having to buy her new ones and magnet keys for the flap so much so that we decided to tape down the lock of the cat flap to enable her go in and out even when she has lost her collar and key.

Cookie loves her food. We feed her dry food during the week and Saturdays and then on Sunday she eats a pouch of felix wet food. She has always loved this but shortly before she went missing I noticed that she was not eating the wet food as much as she used to. Occassionally, she has had a running tummy but nothing very serious.

She has always had all her routine injections, warming tablets and flea drops and check ups so her health was good (unless there was something I had not noticed). She hurt her leg some time early this year and when I took her to the vet they discovered that there was an air gun pellet in one of the good leg. The vet did not remove it but told me to keep an eye on it and take her back if it started to bother her. She seemed to be okay with it.

Cookie has a brother (we got them at the same time). He is missing her so much and he does not play much now. He just lies around the house and looks so sad. Some days he just lies in the hallway and keeps looking at the cat flap.He has also been a little bit aggressive lately which is completely out of character for him.

"We love our cats so much and the loss of Cookie has been devastating not only to me and my daughters but also to close family and friends and even our neighbours. Cookie is such a beautiful cat and everybody in the immediate area knows her. We think about her all the time. I look for her every time I step outside my door. I even get up in the middle of the night and stand at the window with the hope of seeing her.

It is the not knowing where she is or what has happened to her that is tearing us apart.

I would like to appeal to anybody who has seen her or knows of her whereabouts or what has happened to her to please let us know. Please help us find her and bring her back home where she belongs.
Our home is not the same without Cookie and our Christmas will not be the same without her around climbing the Christmas tree and clawing at the presents under the tree and causing a lot of laughter.
We need her back home. Please help us find her.
