Tosh is a large friendly cat. He loves people and food. He was re homed with us in early June this year through the Birman Cat Club. His previous owner having died.

Tosh was imprinted well to his new home, we kept him indoors for two weeks and then into our garden on a lead and accompanied for four more weeks.
After that he learned to use a toilet zone under some conifers in the garden and would ask to pop out to pee or poo and we would watch him for those few minutes until he trotted back to the door.
If it was damp or windy or if raining, he would not go out. He hated cold weather.

He would sit on the wall while we gardened and look around. He was happy to sit in the front garden if we were there but he did not like the traffic passing by and did not go near the front gate or railings.

Tosh has been very loud and vocal since we have had him. We are woken every night as he shouts a long deep meow repeatedly. Outside too he would sit in the middle of the lawn or on the wall and shout up and down the gardens.

Tosh was not a social animal with other cats. We had two incidents of him fighting in the garden with neighbours cats who had wandered in though he loves meeting new people and would appear whenever we had visitors, to have a fuss.

He was let out to pee at 06.30 on Sunday 12th October 2008. He did not come back. It was a chilly morning with a heavy dew so we expected him back in his usual two or three minutes.
Within an hour we were calling out to him and searching ours and near gardens later getting neighbours to search their sheds and garages.

We have circulated his photo and description to homes in a half mile radius put large posters locally and across the town in prominent places.
Garages, schools, super markets. post offices etc.
We go out late at night calling and listening at the park and in the surrounding streets. Sadly nothing.....we miss him so badly
