Harry's been missing since early morning on Thurs 31 January 2008. The weather was bad at the time with strong winds and heavy rain/ snow/ sleet so he may have become confused and lost or he may have taken shelter somewhere and become trapped. He is able to come and go as he pleases using the cat flap but is never normally away for this long and tends to stay close to the house. We've searched the area around our home without success. We've put up posters, spoken to the neighbours and given them leaflets, and contacted shelters and vets in the area. He's generally healthy and is microchipped but doesn't wear a collar as he's learned how to take them off! He is frightened of loud noises and also doesn't like the sound of sellotape. He tends to be wary of strangers, especially men. He hunts and sometimes brings back birds or mice. He likes to paddy-paw his owners' laps. He sleeps on our bed or on a cushion in a little alcove of my desk. He makes little meowing noises while he's asleep. We've had Harry since he was six weeks old when he was found wandering around on his own by the RSPCA, and we took him in. We have one other cat although she doesn't seem distressed by his disappearance so far |
