When our previous cat had to be put down through a combination of old age and illness my mother was introduced to a cat that had been rescued after a car accident in the Madeley area and looking for a loving home. "Trevor" as he was then known had a broken back leg which had been pinned by the vets. "Trevor" nuzzled mom then barged past her to get to his bowl of food. (That's Jaybee in a nutshell, a lovable tabby who never bites or scratches and loves a fuss but thinks about his belly above all else!) We waited a week or so still grieving for our last cat then went back to the vets to see if he had still not been claimed and was looking for a home. I changed his name to "Jaybee" after a local Kareoke DJ and because we have neighbours called Trevor (not wise to call it late at night to get the cat in). He is timid at first and hates being picked up but loves a fuss and a "nuzzle". On 23 December we let him out like any other morning to do his business but he never came home. We have since learned that he was chased by three Staffordshire Bull Terriors that were roaming loose in the neighbourhood. We believe he got away towards some wooded area at the back of our house but he is yet to re-emerge. Despite radio pleas, poster campaigns, calls to vets / rescues / council / police (including about the dogs), leaflets through the all the doors in our local area the trail has gone cold. Sightings have been few and mistaken. It's been 7.5 years since he limped over for a bit of fuss and into our hearts. (the leg healed with no lasting effects) |

" I still call him every night hoping that he'll pop over the fence and gallop down the garden. It hurts and I've a tear in my eye but I still believe he's out there somewhere. If anyone has seen him or is feeding him thinking he's a stray please get in contact, |
