I got Smudge at 6 months old from a stables called Lower Cosmeston Farm where I kept my horse in Penarth, near Cardiff in 2004. He was malnourished, very small and wormy. He grew a bit but is still quite little.
I got a puppy called Otto around Christmas 2006, who is now 7 months old. Smudge had been used to dogs at Lower Cosmeston, and he didn't seem to mind Otto. He never hissed at him or hit him. Otto would chase him if Smudge ran away, but usually Smudge would sit still. Otto would sometimes bark at Smudge. He wanted to play with Smudge, and Smudge would just sit there. They were never together unsupervised. |

About 6 weeks ago, I moved to a flat in Courtlands, on my own with Otto. I moved Smudge in two weeks later, once the flat was slightly more together. I was not worried as he used to go for days and come back telling stories and covered in black dirt. On Thursday 3 May 2007, he went out in the middle of the night, and i haven't seen him since. I was having my flat rewired two weekends ago, and Smudge didn't like the sound of the drill. He is a really chatty person, very affectionate and vocal. When we lived at my parents, TJ used to guard the landing so that Smudge couldn't get into my bedroom. When we moved to the flat, He would come in and sleep on my chest. |

"I really really miss Smudge. I miss telling him about my day, and him telling me about his. He doesn't have a nasty bone in his body. I hope that he will come back with an exciting story for me about his trip away, but I need your help!" |
