We found Gadget and his brother (Gizmo) behind our garage where
their mother, a feral cat had them. The mother disappeared when they were
about 12 weeks old. We have fed and brought them into the house. Gadget
would sleep on us and often we would find him upstairs all day. He is like a domestic cat coming and going at will, although sometimes he would demonstrate some of his wild tendencies. He was neutered around 8 months ago. He has lived with us since he was around 16 weeks old. It took a lot of time and patience for him to trust us and be touched by us but as you will see from the pictures he appears very settled. We are aware that there are a number of feral cats within the village and wonder if he has gone to them, although we cannot understand why we have not seen him at all. Another cat had started appearing and seemed to unsettle him, we wonder if this has intruded on his space. Gizmo, his brother still comes in and feeds although he has never been as close. He does wander but would never be gone more than 2 days. We have had one
call from a lady in the village that thinks she may have seen him; this is
near where we know other cats live in a disused garden centre. It could |
