| We got Tiger from Catspaws cat sanctuary in February 2006 along with another male cat Oscar who is of a similar age. Tiger is a little timid, will let you pick him up but not for very long - he is a very loving cat. Loves being stroked and is always brushing up against your legs and furniture. He is more of a night cat and tends to sleep more during the daytime. He goes mad for wet cat food rather than the dry stuff. Open a tin and he would put his head in it if he was allowed. He is a very clean cat and is always grooming himself. He gets on with other cats and dogs. He has been known to push the dog out of the way so that he can eat the dogs dinner. Shake a packet of cat biscuits, or his bowl of biscuits and he will come running. The weather has been quite hot lately but is beginning to be colder in the mornings and evenings. We have not had much rain. Tiger likes to sunbathe in an afternoon and during the day you will find him shading himself under a tree or a bush. His usual daily routine, we get up at 6am open the back door and he comes running or after a couple of shouts. He cant wait for his breakfast (wet food). Then he will take to his bed for the day - he has a number of beds depending on his mood, ranging from an apple box, a proper cat bed, cushion or sofa. When we arrive home from work he is up and usually can be found asleep in the garden under a tree or bush as soon as he sees us he comes running. He will go out and lie in the sunshine and groom himself for ages. Then around 9pm he will be off out for the evening. He has a strange meeoow - it is not high pitched at all He does not have a collar, he has had four but always manages to lose them. The night he went missing was dry and clear, unfortunately we did hear gun shots on that Sunday night about 10.30 / 11ish and also on Monday night. On the Sunday night the gun shot was that loud, we thought it was in our garden. A ladies cat in Stalmine has been shot during this time and is currently in the vets..... |
