"We got Sophie as an 8 week old kitten in February. She was one of a litter of 4 that had been orphaned when their mother, who belongs to a friend, was hit by a car and killed. I helped to bottle feed her when she was tiny and then took her home when she was old enough. She quickly settled in with me and my boyfriend and being our only pet soon had the run of the house. She became a part of our lives and now she is gone we are absolutely devestated. Sophie is still so young and we are extremely worried about her. We both miss her so much and the house feels empty without her."
Sophie went out after her dinner and then didn't come in when we called her when it got dark. This was unusual because she normally would, especially when we rattled her food bowl. Since then we have tried
everything we can think if to get her home but it seems like she has just disappeared.

Sophie is extremely friendly and loves to be petted or played with, and would often give us kisses by butting us in the face with the top of her head. She likes to scratch quite a lot, especially on wooden things (like furniture!) She gets a lot of gunk building up in her eyes and they need to be cleaned regularly. She is a very vocal cat and was always making little noises and purring. When she is curled up in you lap she will knead your clothes and purr like an engine!

The night before she went missing Sophie met her first dog, a bouncy young retriever that belongs to friends who came to visit us. I think this has maybe given her a scare and kept her away from home that first night, but we have been searching for her since and there has been no sign of her so we really don't know where she has gone.
