Oscar is a Classic tabby with a white bib / underbelly and also has a patch a white just below his nose. He is normally a very timid / scared cat. Even opening the back door gets him to run off and hide under something till he can see who it is. We originally collected him as a kitten from a rescue centre in Sheffield, so can only attribute his behaviour to his life before us. Once he is happy to see you though he is very affectionate and playful. He is a medium size, neutered male cat about 8-9 years old.
Normally he lives in Birdwell near Barnsley, but as me and my partner were to go on holiday, we left him with my mum as normal. She lives in Penistone (it's about 10 miles from Birdwell), which is what we have done several times over the years, also lived there for about 18 months. On the first night he pestered my mum to let him out, so she did not worry as he has stopped there before and had always come back.

This time he hasn't returned and he has now been missing nearly 3 weeks. He disappeared on the 12th December.

Oscar's humans are desperately worried about their pal and would love to get him back home.

Could we ask everyone in the vicinity of Chapelfield Lane in Penistone to to Search Outbuildings and keep an eye open for him as he must be looking for food and shelter in this weather.

We have a POSTER available to anyone wishing to help find him.
