Star seemed really happy and healthy the week before she went missing. She was around practically every lunch time when I popped home on my lunch hour, was under the connifers in my garden and came when I called her. She was normally in the wood at this time for a lot of the time. Star loves the outdoors and has free access to cat flap at all times. She has lived here 3½ years - when she was about 8 months old she came shooting through the cat flap and I looked out and there was a badger in my garden - so she was very aware of what was in the wood - she was healthy, quick and agile. My other girl "Hope" - Star's litter mate had been chasing her out of the garden on occasion - Star was definately the more submissive cat out the two girls. She would sometimes hiss at Hope when Hope approached her if she was trying to sleep in a comfy bed. That is the only time I ever heard Star Hiss/Growl - she was so placid with me and was excellent at taking tablets, flea treatments, grooming. Star also seemed to hang back sometimes at feeding time until my other two cats had finished eating. |
