Help Harvey find his way home

Harvey is a very outgoing, confident cat with some very dog-like characteristics. He likes to play fetch, and chew things sometimes! He is not a lap cat, but strangely likes to sit on people's shoulders and nuzzle them. He is extremely affectionate and chatty.

I was staying with a friend for 2 nights, the second of which was when he disappeared, sometime during the night (I have a housemate who looks after both of my cats when I'm away, so they are not alone). There had been no other change in his routine, and no recent vet visits.

He disappeared about 18 months ago for 48 hours, and since then has not been away for more than a few hours at a time until now.

I also have a female cat (Misty), who is slightly younger and unrelated to Harvey. They get on well and play together often, but Misty does not seem to miss Harvey too much. She is usually the quieter cat and seems to come out of her shell since Harvey has been gone. There was thick snow on the ground and freezing temperatures when Harvey went missing, but it thawed a few days later.
