Perkins was a birthday present to me about 4 years ago. She was rescued from the local cat and dog shelter by my daughter. She had been ill-treated prior to coming to us so is still extremely timid, and nervous of strangers.

She is now comfortable with all family members and appears to be happy. She gets on well with our boisterous rescue dog Charlie and he is missing her very much.

On 26th June my son had friends round for his 21st birthday and the back door was left open while they trailed in and out with food and drink. I think she must have slipped out then.

This is very worrying as she is a house cat and is unused to fending for herself in the big wide world. We have not seen her since that night nor have any of our close neighbours.

The weather has been hot and wet since she disappeared. We have searched the local area and asked around to see if there have been any sightings. Nothing so far.
