Ruby, who is also known as 'Pippers' has been missing since Thursday april 9th. she is known to have a territory which spans the block of newton drive, beech ave, forest gate, st clements ave, ridgewood ave, felgate brow with the cloisters and st joseph's close. She has been spotted crossing newton drive towards waste ground between Layton road, Collingwood ave and Burnham court.
She is a black and white, spayed female, 2 years old.her markings are just like the felix cat from the advert and she has a pink nose.
She has no collar as it was removed for grooming the day before.
She is very inquisitive but shy of strangers.
She is very affectionate, and is a cat with a loud meow who likes to 'speak' when you talk to her. Ruby is a happy cat and has never scratched or bitten anyone and if someone tried to stroke her in the street she would be more likely to run away than follow them or growl at them. she is a slender cat and is a good mouser. ruby had turned her nose up at some new cat food she was given, coming into the house, sniffing her bowl, then asking to be let out straight away. this makes us wonder if somebody in the area is feeding her and has maybe taken her in? it is not like ruby to disappear as even when out all day she returns in the evening to curl up in bed with her beloved 13 year old mistress.
Ruby is a nosey cat and likes to know exactly what is going on around her.
we suspect she likes to adventure into old houses and building sites as she has come home a couple of times covered in orange brick dust or black soot like she has been up an old chimney!
Ruby has been living with her mum, Genie and they fight and play together. Genie is missing her little girl and has been very clingy with us lately.
There is a new baby in the house, but if anything the cats have been even more spoiled than ever so they wouldn't feel that their noses had been pushed out.
We have told neighbours to look out for ruby and have had a look round the area, listening out for 'meows' coming from garages etc. We have also looked by the road side and in people's front gardens for a body. friday morning was bin day and I am worried that she may have been knocked over by a car and someone has just dumped her body in a nearby wheelie bin.
There was also a full moon on thursday night, would this have made her wander?
