Hi.  thanks for all the mails. sorry for not answering but I have spent the weekend trying to cope .....and trying to find him. been so bad that when I could not see my ginger girl yesterday I was convinced she had been stolen as well! what a nightmare!!!!
The GOOD NEWS is 10 min ago my partner and I were woken with that famous cry for food.......he had arrived home!!!!! a little thinner......a little more nervy than usual......but still that merlin that we love so much! I can not tell you how I feel......my gawd.....how do parents cope when their kids go missing! this past week I have gone to hell and back!!!! I pray I never go through this again!!!!!
Sometimes I think we experience things to learn lessons. as a vet I hear ' the cries of clients' on a regular basis.......but till now I can honestly say I never felt what they were feeling. If there is anything I can give back.....is the help and kindness I have experienced from friends, clients and various groups such as the rspca, Baxleyheath council and yourself. I hope that from now I too will be able to assist with reuniting animals and their owners.   Thanks once again.

hi sue   Gave you a call but you not around.
Oscar was here when i got up this morning, taken him to the vets as his back leg looked broken and they are amputating it as it is too badly damaged, they are also keeping an eye on his sight as he does not seem to react to motion or light but that might be shock!  Anyway at least he is home safe.

Dear Sue
I placed a 'lost cat' notice on your website on Friday evening (6th October) and am delighted to be able to report that Casper has now been found and returned to us safe and sound. He had been out exploring and managed to get lost. He was trapped in a garden about a mile and a half from our house and the lovely owners of the house guessed that he must be lost and put up flyers all around our area asking for his owners to call them. Luckily our pet sitter spotted the flyers and rang us immediately and we were reunited with our little boy on Monday night. We are over the moon.
Many thanks for your assistance and for this fantastic service. In the end it wasn't a My Moggy member that found Casper for us, but it was so nice to have the support of all your members and to know that we weren't the only ones feeling so utterly depressed at the loss of out cat.     Rebecca

Hi again Sue,
Willow disappeared again on Monday, and because she does spend the odd night out we didn't worry too much to start with.  When she still hadn't come home yesterday (Thursday) afternoon, we decided to try the 'Moggy Magic' with the hoover bag contents and the smelly socks.  Result, Willow home 3 hours later!!  A nice story for your collection!

c1237

Tabi an 18mth old DLH spayed & chipped female with Brown eyes. Very pale Ginger, with faint ginger tortoishell
markings.
Hi Sue Thank you for your speedy response - fortunately, I  have happy news!  I found Tabi a little while ago.  I was walking along the lane where one side is fenced off calling for her, I was sure I heard the tinkle of her bell and stayed in one spot and called - she answered me by meowing back.  Eventually, she appeared in the bushes on the other side of the fence and after some frantic scrabbling on my part, I was able to pull the fence up just enough to get a hold on her and pull her back through.  I can only guess that something frightened her up over it in the first place and once her fear had subsided, it was too high for her to get back over it.  She wasn't actually far from the house - perhaps a hundred yards or less, so has probably heard me calling for her every day.  Anyway, I'm so incredibly relieved to have her home, although how she dare sit by the door with pleading eyes to go out again is a mystery!  I'm just off out now to retrieve my posters and advise the neighbours (who, bless them had joined the hunt) that she's home - a little bedraggled, very hungry, but no obvious signs of injury.
I still owe a huge thanks to your website though - after reading the stories of 'found' cats, I was hopeful that she may show up eventually.  After a truly miserable week, I do hope other lost cats on the website turn up safe and sound, and I plan to spend my weekend curled up on the sofa with my precious Tabi.
Thank you again.  Kind regards  Jacqui and Tabi
It was a difficult time for Jacqui not helped by the fact that her OH is with the rest of our lads in Afhganistan - I know that all our 'Moggy' fans will join with us in sending our thoughts and best wishes for their safety.

Captain an 18mth old neutered Bengal male with Green eyes
Brown/grey - Captain is back!.....I got a call from a chap on Richmond Rd Crownhill saying that he had my cat in his conservatory......been going through the cat flap in the middle of the night eating his cats food......he thought nothing of it until the cat started eating pasta then he knew it was hungry!
We went nd picked him up......I couldn't believe it was him!....No different really, maybe a little thin but nothing else. I thanked the man and offered him the reward. He still had his collar on but the underside of the locket had disappeared with his address on!......thank God i bought that new collar the day he went missing. why? His new collar had a press stud on the inside of the collar where i could write my phone numbers........turns out it paid off!
We got him home and saw he had 3 ticks on his neck.....The vet has now removed those.  Looking closer, He's a little thin, got some cuts on the underside of his feet, and one or two bald spots where i guess he has been fighting
He's eating, drinking and playing and going to the toilet OK. He sleeps alot more now though. Thanks for all your help over the last weeks or so.......Its been much appreciated!.

Rio, a 9yr old SH chipped & neutered male, Ginger with Tiger stripes and rings on tail, wearing his best Red Collar with cat faces on when he went awol in Maidstone...
Hello Sue,
Just thought you would like to know that Rio arrived home on the doorstep this morning after 7 long months away.  He is very thin but otherwise in great condition - coat is clean and flea free.  Vets took a look at him today and checked his Identichip just to confirm he was ours - he looks somewhat different now he's much thinner so we thought best to check.
He's tucked two small tins of prescribed food away and is now curled up on one of the dining room chairs fast asleep.  Luckily his brother appears to have accepted him back quickly however there has been lots of sniffing and some hissing from him - I guess it will take a day or so for him to fully accept him back into the family.
We're all thrilled and just wanted to let everybody else out there know not to give up hope - miracles do happen.  Thank you and everybody at MyMoggy for your help and support especially at the beginning of our search.

Rosie a 2½yr old chipped & spayed female DSH with Green eyes.
White with One tabby ear and a tabby tail. Very small for her
age, similar size to a kitten.
Wearing her Pink Holographic collar with tag when she went missing in Denholme
Hi Sue
I am writing to inform you that we have now got Rosie back safe and sound.  Last night at approximately 10.30 pm we got a telephone call from a young man in Birkenshaw (approximately 13 miles from our house) to say that he and his girlfriend had petted Rosie in his garden and before leaving in his car to take his girlfriend home, Rosie had launched herself at the window as if to say “please don’t leave me!  Help!”.  He noticed that she had her collar on with her disk and called the number on the disk (my mobile number).  I can’t tell you how relieved my husband and were to get her back.
I think the moral of the tale is that no matter how afraid of the possibility of a cat getting their collar caught on something… it is even more frightening when they go missing and if they have no collar and disk/tag you have less chance of getting them back.
Thank you for your wonderful display of information on mymoggy.com and I will be sure to spread the word of the site amongst my moggy owning friends.
Once again, thank you    Best wishes

Charlie a 6yr old neutered DSH with Greeny-yellow eyes
White & ginger - Ginger tabby patches.
Hi Sue,
Great news! Charlie's back!! I got a call today saying he was in someone's garage about 1/2 a mile away. They were looking at my poster when they phoned. Then they drove up the road and I followed them to their house.
As I went in the garage I could hear Charlie chattering in response to our voices. They I called him and his little face appeared from the rafters. He was so pleased. Then he jumped down and I gave him a big cuddle.
He's back now and a few sachets of cat food later, is on my bed purring his head off.
Charlie is rather thin, but he has been away for 2 weeks. He seems healthy apart from being thin. I'll book him into the vets on Monday and get him checked and chipped.
Anyhow, thank you so much for your help and advice. I now know exactly what to do if this happens again. Hopefully not because I don't want to go grey at 32!
Take care and keep up the good work with your wonderful website.

Some how she had got herself locked inside a box Dad uses for keeping the sun loungers in. as you can image this has not been used for quite some while, so god only knows how she got in there. it is a big plastic box with a lid with a catch on it. Mum was out in the garden shouting her name when she hearded a faint meow but couldn't trace where it was coming from but with dads help, they located the meow to the box. Mum was in tears when she rang me. Booboo has had two pouches of food & is getting lots & lots of fussing.

c1290

Found in Great Sutton 'Rufus' a 6-9mth old male DSH Tabby cat. Very well looked after, shiny coat, well fed.
Hi Sue
Good news, we have traced the owner!  Was talking to a colleague of mine today who had told me about a little tabby kitten a while back which kept trying to break into the neighbour's houses but disappeared before we could investigate.  She had eventually found the owners who were a new family at the back of her, they had two kittens a few months old (too young to be let out really),  She told me today that the kitten went missing just before Bonfire night and the owners were frantic.  When she described him, it was of course Rufus aka Taylor!  And he knew his name.  Incidentally, the CP branch ran an article in the local paper and the lady rang them to see if they had taken him in and of course they had his picture too, so also put her in touch before I could ring her.  He's gone home to a very relieved family who had already booked him in to be snipped and chipped next week.  He was a fair old way away from home, so my theory that he'd been carried off by kids and dropped at the school was probably a good guess!  They have now phoned (I hope) the Pet Bureau people to register him.  And hopefully he will be chipped next week.  M
any thanks for your help.  When you have a moment, please remove him from your found website and add him to the reunited one!!
Kind Regards

very pretty Silver Grey and White tabby with defined spots on his back and stripe up his tail and back.
Missing from Fishponds, Bristol...
Hi Sue
I'm so pleased to tell you that Morph turned up this eveing of his own accord, six months after having gone missing. We were in the dining room and I heard a yowling and shouted 'That's Morph!'. My boyfirend said 'No, it's just cats fighting' but I looked out into the dark and couldn't see anything.
Then I heard it again and looked out and saw his beautiful face peering back at me. I had a bit of a panic trying to get the key in the door as fast as I could and as soon as the door was open he ran in! At first he was really friendly which is not like him at all(!). He gobbled down a tin of food and was then back to his old self - ie. hissing and swiping at anyone that wasn't me. He's following me round the house like he always did and is now asleep in the chair, purring away.
So happy he's back although not sure how he'll deal with the three new kittens we've recently got! We'll just have to take it slowly and see how things go but we're sooo happy to have him back. He's now about twice the size he was when he went missing - a real sturdy boy!
Please tell everyone with missing cats not to give up hope - we almost had although we were still looking, we didn't think he'd be back.

Only today I said 'I wish I knew what had happened to Morph' and now he's back!
Thanks for all your help.

SHES BACK!!!!!!
I heard this almighty wailing outside the back door literally half an hour ago and it was Tigs, she bounced in fussed over us then went straight to her food dish!
Im so happy shes safe, i can now sleep again at night. The only thing is she came back with a collar on!?!
Now has she found another home SINCE she went missing ? or has she been staying with us for four months and her original owners been missing her (in that case knowing how upset i got i feel awful)?
When speaking to a number of my other neighbours they seemed to believe she was a stray and had been abandon by her owners who had been evicted from a flat on our rd.
???? a mystery!
I am going to take her to avets to check if she has a micro chip or not. I dont know what else i can do. Im happy shes back but cant help feeling a little apprehensive.
Anyway, thanks ever so much for your help and advice and you may now safely remove her from your 'lost' list. I now know where to turn to in a similar situation if it was to happen again.
If Tigger does have a home elsewhere, i will miss her but i now have space for another abandoned cat in my heart and home.
Keep up the good work

He went off down the avenue the wrong way, then finally arrived home at 20 to seven tonight.( maybe it was my sons smelly sock at the back door that sent him the right way)
He seems fine, he has had access to water as the house he was in has cats (who were in the cattery) but fortunately their water bowl was still down. He has also helped himself to  some fat in the grill pan!!!!
He seems a bit dazed and his eyes are very dilated, so I will probably pop him to the vets for a check up tomorrow.
I cant thank you enough for all your help and support and information you have provided over this very traumatic period.
LOL Val AND Pip
To add a bit to Pips story which I don't think I mentioned before, he went missing on the Monday morning, by Tues evening we realised the people whose house he was eventually found in were away on hol.
On the Wed evening we found that the next door house had keys, so I persuaded them to let us in to have a look.
I assumed that if Pip was trapped in there he would come running! so when he didn't I just thought that he mustn't be in there.
He must have been as you said in your email in "cat Survival mode" So with hindsight I would advise people to check and check again.
I cant stop reading all the home safe stories on your web site, its so fantastic. I just feel so sorry for all the people who have not yet had a happy ending.

'Puffin' 31st Jul.2006 - 15th Nov.2006
c1075

Puffin a 2½yr old Asian SH neutered & chipped male with Yellow - Brown eyes. Has a Brown/beige coat with dark brown face.
Sue,
I'm delighted to say that Puffin has been found!  Over 3 months after he went missing!  He was hanging around someone's home in Pimlico (around 4 miles from my house) and after Battersea and the Blue Cross showed no interest, she took him to a local vet who scanned his chip and called me.  Amazing.  Thank goodness for good people.

So thank you so much for all your support and a happy ending (until he decides to do it again of course!)

Many thanks,
  Rupert
In defense of the rescues mentioned - it is sadly the case with all rescues who are at the moment up to their eyes in homeless cats. If a stray/lost cat is in fair health and is being fed / monitored, then they have no choice but to leave them in situe until space is found for them.

'Chester' missing since 8th Nov.2006
c1305

Chester a 4½yr old neutered DSH male with Golden eyes.
Ginger and white - White underbelly and bib and white feet. Stripey tail.
Dear Sue
Great news. After reading your email I went out and called Chester as loud as I could without shouting and rattled his treats.
5 -10 mins later my lads who were washing the pots said Chesters at the door. We are so happy and relieved to have him back. He had some food but he is thinner than he was. I reckon that he must have been locked in somehere as it is exactly one week to the day. Or something happened last Wednesday that has been resolved today.
Thank you for all your advice. Have you any advice now that he is back.          Thank you     Ian

'Toby' 1st Nov.2006 - 25th Nov.2006
c1324

Toby a 3yr old DSH neutered & chipped male Tabby cat with Yellow/Green eyes.
Dear Sue
I have very sad news that Toby's body was found very close by in neighbour's garden. He wasn't there on Thursday so he must have tried to get home. I find it hard to think he didn't make it but it is a relief that he is now buried in our garden and we now know where he is. Thank you for your help; maybe hanging unwashed clothes on the line and emptying the vacuum helped to get him back. Please would you remove him from your site? Thank you. Gill

'Sox' missing since 25th Nov.2006

Sox a 16mth old neutered & chipped male 'Snowshoe'
A Sealpoint
Hi Sue,  Just wanted to let you know that we found Sox late on Sunday night..safe and well thank goodness! He had managed to get over the main road we live on (he has never done that before, so we think he was probably spooked by a dog or something). My husband just said he would have one last trek round the block, which is actually about a mile, and spotted him wandering nonchalantly over the main road. I can't tell you, because you probably already know, how relieved we are! He is grounded for a few days now, just to re establish home.

We had put posters over about a square mile and a half radius, as well as fliers through every door round the block. We had a few calls to say people had seen him in their area before he went missing, and saying how beautiful he was. They rang to wish us luck in finding him, which was really nice. Your tips were really interesting, and we will definitely use them the next time he wanders, which I am sure will happen. I hope it's easier emotionally after the first time!

'Lillie' 24th Sept. 2005 - c.1st Dec.2006
c0468

Lillie 8 mth old pure white, ½ Siamese short haired female with a very long tail. She was wearing a bright pink collar when she went awol in Watford

Hi Sue   I have put below a little story for your website....

Lillie is coming home - AFTER A YEAR ! Before i start my story, i strongly recommend you micro-chip your cat, even if they are indoor pets.

I never gave up hope in finding Lillie and a year later it has paid off. I always checked the internet and called local shelters, any mention of a white cat and I was contacting the poster, I was close to going to Sheffield one time! Then I came across our LOCAL animal welfare trusts website (again!) and there she was up for re-homing. I had sent Lillies picture to them and contacted them, but they keep no record of this and do not check when strays come in, if one has been found locally, a shame as she had been there since August. As soon as I saw her I knew it was her, she was so scared and timid, but I am gaining her confidence (with a visit everyday)

She was picked up as a stray in Hemel Hempstead (Approx 4 miles away) and she was pregnant! I dread to think what she has been through! As she wasnt chipped, I have to go through the adoption process, but all is successful and she will be joining us shorlty and she has a playmate, Benson my 9 month old 1/2 russian blue (Chipped and neuterd!)

My friend is adopting 2 of her kittens. Cant wait to have her home. Do not give up hope, use the internet as much as possible, its a great source of information
