  I have good news !    I went to my sister's again, and took Misty with me so he wouldn't get up to any trouble. They must have fewer spare cats in Yorkshire, because her neighbour was looking for a house cat. She fell in love with him straight away, and the problem is now solved. How wonderful that a few months ago he was wandering the fields looking for food, and is now in the best armchair and part of a family. Thanks for trying to help..

  Thank you so much for your reply, and for providing your site to enable worried cat owners to post.
  Fortunately, Mowgli turned up a couple of days ago at 4am, absolutely soaked! He had lost a little bit of weight and hasn't been able to jump and has a slight limp. He has been to the vets and they think he may be been stuck up at a height and fallen awkwardly or maybe been clipped by something. Mowlgi has settled in very much into the house cat routine, and I am not sure whether he will be going outside again unless we move, although we are not on a main road, I think during the night, cars can drive quite fast, and horribly lost a cat on the road back in April this year.

It is exactly 1 year today since she went missing. Our local cat holiday home (Catkins) at Charing contacted us today with the good news after checking with your website.   We postered/leafletted the village all day on Friday, and at 1.30am a very hungry and tired Charlie came in through the cat flap.  His feet are a right mess - he's missing claws and has bloody patches everywhere so once he's calmed down a bit more we'll take him to the vets.  He's scared of the dark now and hates to be left alone, so we're leaving the radio on for him when we go to work.  He's never being let out again!

  Just to let you know Tigger has been found! I am over the moon! the vet rang me today to tell me someone had come in with him and they checked his microchipped and rang me. Apparantly a woman who ownes a cattery approx 1/2 a mile from my house has seen him for a few days so eventually caught him and put him in her cattery for a week to calm down and then brought him to the vet. he has been very well fed and is in perfect health. i am so happy and relieved. he is settled in now and is back in his usual place...on my bed.

  Unfortunately we have found our beautiful Harry and he was in an RTA on Amounderness Way a very busy ,fast road not far from us. I had no idea he went that far unless it was the first time. We had a phone call from a lady who had seen one of my posters on lampost when she returned from holiday on Friday and she remembered seeing a cat matching Harry's discription on the grass verge. She gave told me where abouts and I went to find him straight away.He was in a very bad way as I think the accident must have happened the night he went missing, at least we know what happened and we now have him home in the garden. We are all so very sad as he was only 2 yrs old and a very beautiful friendly cat he was the ideal pet. His brother is really missing him off his food and won't go out. Hopefully this will pass soon.

  Katya's back home! Great news.

  I don't have the full story yet as I was out this evening but apparently 2 girls found her somewhere on the other side of the main road, then brought her back and left her with neighbours. She's lost her collar and was quite hungry, but looks very well and has settled back in straight away. I'm keeping her in until I can get her chipped tomorrow!

  I'll also let you know what transpired after I speak to the girls - who are in for a treat of some description as a reward.

  I've checked Katya's neck and definitely can't feel a chip there, though I convinced myself with Gordy (her brother) that I could. Anyway - Gordy got chipped yesterday and Katya will be tomorrow.

                       You would not believe but I found Darcy last night!  I decided to knock at a house at the back of me, don't know why but I felt I had to go there, anyway knocked and this man answered, said he worked in Cambridge most off the time and in between he was renovating his house (it was like a building site) I could see that the parts of the ceilings were down, then all of a sudden we heard meowing........it was getting louder and louder and out popped Darcys head from the rafters in the ceiling!  I cannot begin to tell you how relieved both of us were!   I took Darcy home (he was purring like mad) and he was very hungry needed watering etc - but he's fine!  Took him to the vets this morning he was checked over and chipped!  It has been the longest nine days ever! .....apart from when Mog disapeared!  Mog is doing really well, has never gone missing since!  He is known by my neighbours as "Lord Mog" because I spoil him so much!   Thank you so much Sue, I think your website is marvellous!

  The owners of the little white cat "Avi" (ref C4169)  that I found and took to the NAWT 2 weeks ago collected him yesterday from the Centre. I was told that his proper name is Charlie.

  The owners live not far from where I found him. They must have seen the posters that I put up. He is not chipped or neutered so I would not be surprised if he is out wandering again soon.

  I am still looking for my  Theo that went missing 8 weeks ago now. I was half hoping that Avi would be put up for rehoming as Mary and I were thinking of giving him a home where he would be looked after and loved and would be a friend for Theo, when we find him.

  Just an update.  The owner of the village website was very helpful and we are fairly sure that Squiffy's owner was traced, but she did not want him back.  As he was then homeless, I have decided to adopt him.  He is at the vet today being neutered and having his blood test.  He will be microchipped with my details and I will be responsible for him in future.  I hope that once the colder weather comes, he will decide to settle down with us.

  We have some very good news, Fidget turned up at 5.30 this morning and is tired but fine.

Recieved a call from JT's mum to convey the very sad news of JT being involved in an horrific traffic accident last bank holiday... almost a year to the day that he was found and put onto the homesafe pages.
Angela is grateful for the care shown by Milne & Shine vets who did everything they could for JT.. sadly not to be..

  A bit bedraggled and very hungry but safe and sound. We put out old boots, my gressing gown, his blanket, the dust bag and even his litter tray. the scent brought him home. Once it got dark we went out for another look and my partner found him looking confused, trying to work out which house, but on the pavement right outside our house.
  It's so good to have him back. I have spent more of my life with that boy than i have without him.
  
  Now it's a more respectable hour (his return was very late) am going to let everyone else know! Had to contact you first. I am sure the scent did it.
  
  Many many thanks and keep up the good work and I shall tell everyone I come into contact with about it.
  And boy can I talk about the best cat in the world!!!! my constant companion !!!!

Masha a 12yr old spayed DSH female with Yellow eyes

Dear Sue
I just thought I would let you know that we found Masha having been living rough for three and a half years. She was taken to Seesaw having been run over by a car. She had lots of injuries and was as thin as a rake and nearly all her fur was missing. Six months later she is nearly back to her old self having eaten us out of house and home. She is now 15 years old. It just goes to show that you should never give up hope.

  Her friend saw one of our posters at the supermarket and told her , she called us straight away and we went to get him ! He had been with her for 2 days !Sooooooooooo relieved and happy , he seems a bit skinny but ok , am gonna pop him to the vets this morning though for a check up !

  Great news. Ralph is now home with us safe and sound! I cannot explain the relief I felt when i held him in my arms.
  As he is an indoor cat, it seems he didnt stray too far...infact...he was found in the apartmeny underneath ours. Our neighbour that lives there rang our intercome at 11:30pm this evening and said she thought she could hear our cat, in her flat.
  We went downstairs and could hear his gorgeous familiar voice immediatly. It appears he must have gotten in thru the window, yesterday afternoon when my neighbour went for an afternoon nap with her baby boy and had left the window open.
  He had squashed himself in behind the table unit in her livingroom and had been hiding there silently ever since. He was so hungry and shaking but snuggled right into me when i picked him up. I have never felt so happy.
  Thank you so so much for your quick response. The leaflets and posters were fantastic. Your excellent website provides an amazing tool for reassuring cat lovers that there are other people out there that feel the same and would do anything to be reunited with and help reunite pets with their owners.
   
  Keep up the brilliant work. We are gonna take every step to ensure our horrible nightmare never happens again.

  Having asked around my local area a lady tracked me down to let me know it was her cat i had found on the road.  As you can imagine his owner was horrified and he was in her words extremely precious.  I just hope now the vets still have him so she have him back once cremated.

• Scruffy a long haired female with Yellow eyes
• Black with Brown caste, some White.
  Has black fur head and shoulders but then changes to chocolate colour for rest of body.( May be due to sun bleaching or out of condition) Bits of white including paws
• Small, skinny, fur in appalling state of mattedness. Dirty. However, has obviously been cared for - was wearing a collar and tag saying 'Please do not feed me, I am on a special diet' when first appeared. This has now disappeared. Was in bad state so presumably put on a long time ago.
  

  I have now taken him to the vet, found that he has a microchip and an owner in the next street to mine. The owners have collected him and apparently he is now booked in to have his matted fur clipped and for regular check-ups. He apparently has a long history of health problems.

  Thank you very much for replying to my email, I was so worried about my cat stripe, thankfully he came home yesterday after 49hours of going missing.
  Nobody knows where he has been and my thoughts are someone had him and he has managed to come home, now he doesn't even try to leave the house, which he enjoyed doing before as he used to visit all the old people in my area, who obviously spoilt him. Anyway i'm sure he will get better as time goes on with alot of tlc. Many thanks again.

  Hello Sue, Ive got great news! Petes back! he appeared at 1am this morning making a din, all the other cats knew it was him. I went to get my pumps on to get him and he was already back through the patio doors. Iam pretty sure he had been in a shed, he was cobwebby and dirty. Thankyou for your help despite no pictures. I hope that you continue with your work as it is so valuable to us human owners when weve lost the little beggars. Rebecca.

  Oco has been found unfortunatly it is bad news, he was hit by a car, but was given a caring burial by a local family.
  I got a call from the husband of the lady who hit him, it happened the evening he went missing. I also spoke to the woman that owns the local farm. She came out to him because she thought he may have been one of their farm cats, obviously when she saw him he obviously wasn’t. But right down to the markings on his toes she said it was definitely him :o(

  Hi Sue, just a note to let you know my cat has come back! He came back this morning limping very badly and I took him to the vet but doesn't look like he has any broken bones. I think he may have been hit by a car and just ran off to hide in shock, and maybe the t-shirt and vacuum contents helped him come back. Thank you again for your tips, Aaron

  Just to let you know after 6 weeks of being awol, my neighbour spotted and successfully caught Mittzens, who she spotted in the road behind our own. She has been back 48 hours and is still not happy about it. At first she wouldn't come near us, was hissing and spitting. So we left her alone in a room, with all she needed and allowed her some space. We slowly reintroduced ourselves and she now tolerates some petting - still not the friendly, loving cat she was but it is a start. She meows pitifully by the door to be let out, I suspect the imprint of who ever had her is holding strong at the moment. Hopefully time will dim this. ..
