Maranello

Maranello is a 2-year old Chocolate Burmese. He is a Pale Creamy Fawn colour with a darker face and ears; he has Yellow eyes. "Thank you so much for the lovely webpage. My partner and I were really touched!
However, you will be very pleased to hear that Maranello is home safe! Someone found him in their garden on the other side of Hatfield Park about 3/4 of an hour ago! He seems completely unscathed...although he appears to be losing his voice! I think he has been doing more calling than we have over the last 3 weeks! Thanks again for all your efforts

c0256

Micah a 9mth old Tabby (very thick tigerish stripes) short hair mixed breed with White belly, chest & 3 White paws - his off hind is more of a sock Recently neutered.
Hi Sue , Thanks for your email - Great news! Micah turned up four days ago off his own steam! I couldn't believe it - he was thin and full of fleas but otherwise OK - have taken him to the vet for a check up and to get micro-chipped and so far he's just wanted to be round me - he's been going out but doesn't go far so hopefully it won't happen again - I blubbed like a baby when I saw him, am over the moon he's back. Sorry I haven't contacted you to let you know til now - I can't thank you enough for your help, advice and support when he went missing, it really was much appreciated - I hope there will be many more happy endings with the other cats listed on your site. Thanks again Sue and best wishes Sophie x

c0319

Found roaming along Union Canal - Harrison Gardens area of Edinburgh on the 26 June 2005.
Female 4-8 years old (according to vet). Has some balding behind ears, neck, tummy.   She has a black, curly, short haired, very soft coat (has a smokey-grey appearance due to hair loss) and may possibly be either a Devon, Cornish or German Rex. Very loving, friendly and gentle but clearly missing her owner.
Her name is Dilly and she has been reunited with her owner as of yesterday evening (06.07.05)

'Bo' 4th July 2005 -13th July 2005
c0332

Bo, An 18mths old small, slim, Brown and Black striped male tabby with a Spotted Tummy and a White Chin. Wearing a Grey Reflective Collar - no tag... We think Bo is dead. A woman just rung me to say she saw a dead tabby under the budlea near Pets at Home at the beginning of last week (which is across the road). She didn't know what day. We're now as certain as we'll ever be that it was Bo. The bin men know no more and I think the original info they gave me was incorrect. At least it seems Bo died instantly and he's at peace now. I don't know whether or not this is the same within all Councils, but I think it's terrible that dead animals are removed by the street cleaners if they find them on their rounds without them logging any details - how long would that really take? At least my partner and I have each other for support but for some people their pet is their only companion - imagine not knowing then? I'm glad I made the effort to look for Bo but I could have made one call if it had been logged and known the truth and begun to grieve. We gave Bo a lot of love and he gave us lots of love back in return - I only wish we could have brought him up somewhere quiet and that he was with us until he was an old man. Rest in peace little one - we love you very much

Teddy is a British Cream with darker Cream stripes and Orangey Yellow eyes. He has a White bib and paws and is two years old.. He decided to go for a dawn stroll and hasn't been seen since. Teddy has been found by a wonderful lovely woman.  He popped into her garden this morning and got spoilt rotten until I arrived.   A little bit thinner and with a small wound to his back paw, but in good complaining form!    Thank you so much for all of your help, it means more than I can say. Big hugs, kisses and more thanks

'Sylvester' 7th Jul.2005 - 18th Jul.2005
c0335

Sylvester a 5 yr old male, Black with white moustache, chin and chest. White socks, long at the back. He is tall, long and slim - long, thin tail & a white patch on his tummy I just wanted you to know that....Sylvester is home!!!!!! The postman rang our bell this morning (I gave him a flyer last week)
and said there was a cat in a house that was being renovated nearby. He said he didn't want to get our hopes up but nevertheless a cat shouldn't be locked in an empty house no matter who it is! He gave me the address of the house's owners. They turned out to live only two cul de sacs away.
Mind you, both the vacant house and their house had received flyers.   I got to the house and there was Sylvester sitting in the front window. I nearly broke down in tears!  We went up to the window and he knew it was us. Just then, our other cat Nigel leaps out of the bush meowing away. He must have known Sylvester was there. I called my husband back and told him the news and was there in twenty minutes. He went to the owner's other house and the lady came and let us in to get Sylvester out. She knew he was in the house. Apparently they were checking up on the work progress and he kept on hiding from them. She was rather unconcerned though and just shrugged about it as if it was no big deal. She said they tried to lure him out with food but it didn't work. Not sure if they left him any food or not. We thought that they should have called if they had the flyers or could have left a window open for him to escape but oh well, at least he is home now! He's gone rather thin but is perky and loving all the attention. He lost his collar - possibly still in the house. He is desperate to go out though. He is meowing away. I understand that he should stay in for about 3 weeks to re-establish his scent in the house. Thanks for your support and I guess it is now okay to take him off the website! Not quite that easy Kathryn, Sylvester will always be remembered as one of MyMoggy's gang

'Merlin' 31st Jul.2005 - 2nd Aug.2005
c0362

Missing from Maidstone, Merlin is a neutered Black Smoke Cornish Rex... I have just got the most marvellous news.  About ten minutes ago I heard the fence rattle and Merlin appeared.  We went round earlier asking that people check sheds then went round calling and rattling food.  I think he must have been shut in because his nails are short.  He was very hungry but otherwise none the worse. Thank you SO much for your help and advice.  You really helped me today and so I am really really grateful.  Denise

'Tora' 31st.Jul.2005 - 3rd Aug.2005
c0365

Tora is a 'chipped' two year old Snow Bengal (Cream with Brown spots and Blue eyes). Many, many thanks for your help....  He is found! The burglar alarm went off in a house two doors down the road - and my husband noticed they were out. He then went in with the owners and discovered him hiding in their spare room. I suspect he had been drinking out of the toilet because he is starvingly hungry but not thirsty.
Just goes to show that all the tips on the sites where it says check houses for yourself are true - we had actually spoken to the house owners and they had said that they would check.
You are doing a great job with your site - I'll send you a donation (plus one for petsearch - who also gave us a lot of help). Many thanks again. Marion

  'Dotty' found May.2005
c0246

Nicknamed 'Dotty' by those who found her.
She is a 6month old Grey & White Tabby (English Spot) with White Bib and Paws. Very friendly and person orientated, rewarding any attention with 'big purrs'.    All attempts to find her owners have come to nothing leading her finders to suppose she had possibly hitched a lift into the area.   The two resident cats however are taking a dim view of the new addition despite all attempts by Dotty to make friends - preventing her from becoming a permanent guest. The latest on Dotty is that she has been rehomed to a lovely lady & her daughter - Dotty is now being spoilt rotten with loads of love and cuddles and is working on improving her 'purrs'.

Update 27.May.05. I have since spoken with the finder of this cat who says it literally jumped into his arms one evening when out for a stroll. When it was put back into the garden where it was found, the cat insisted on following the gentleman home and has since settled in with him quite happily. Enquiries as to ownership were made in the area at the time - with no result.

George

George a Black and white male cat, 3 years old . No collar but he is microchipped. A group of kids found George dead last night in a hedgerow about 150m from home. He was very badly decomposed so had obviously been there for some time. Maybe we'll never know what happened to him, he was a fair way from any roads, unless someone had hit him and throw him in the bushes. But he did have pale pink stain on his front white legs - antifreeze perhaps?  We are absolutely heartbroken, but life goes on - we've still got Brian to think about of course. I really appreciate all your help, advice and support - I just wish we'd had a happier ending. Louise xx

'Toby' 17th Aug.2005 - 24th Aug.2005
c0405

Toby is a (neutered) Ginger tom with Ginger stripes down his back and faint Ginger spots on his belly. He has a Cream chin and Cream rings around his tail and is 2 yrs old. and slightly built. He was wearing his Black collar with diamond like studs and 'cat face' ID tag . Toby is home!!!! He arrived at 4am this morning when I heard a cat (plus a familiar sounding bell) running down the street yowling! You were right - he's obviously been shut in somewhere - his claws are rather a mess and he is very underweight now. He's going in to the vet to be rehydrated and given some glucose etc today to try and perk him up. The bite on his leg is rather more infected so I suspect he'll need more treatment on that. Other than that he's fit and well and still the same Toby he was 7 days ago. He slept practically on my head until I had to get up. Its the hardest time ever that I had going in to work this morning! He's safely cuddled up in bed with my sister (whose enjoying the company as awaiting GCSE resultrs tomorrow). Thank you so much for everything you did for us but mostly the moral support - I have such admiration for the work you do. If there is anything we can ever do to help please dont hesitate to let us know.   Many Thanks

R.I.P Neo

Neo a chipped and neutered male, Dark Brown, slim and panther like. It is with great sadness that I have to say that we have found what appear to be the remains of our poor Neo.
Thank you for all your help and advice. You were quite correct in saying that he was most likely near home. He may have been hit by a car and then carried off by the large fox that I know frequents our garden or he may have been killed by that fox. We will never know.  Still it is a small compensation that at least we know that he is not being ill treated somewhere or lying injured .   Best wishes  Richard

Howie, a 5yr old Cornish Rex (curly coat) , missing from the Tinkers Bridge area of Milton Keynes ... He's home!!!! 5.30am - and my baby is home! Very thin, obviously not eaten - but safe and uninjured! :-)  Thank you for your help and support while Howie was missing :-) He spent the remainder of last night snuggled up in bed with me - woke up to feel him not there, panicked briefly... until I realised he was legs in the air, fast asleep on my pillow! Don't think he slept, is certainly catching up on it now! His coat is greasy, and he has fur on what was the "bald" part of his Cornish back - so he must've got cold. So very thin too, a little dehydrated but not now    He is definitely VERY happy to be home! :-) Amanda and Jasper keep hissing at him, but everyone else is ok with him - Zeus (Dobermann) was positively thrilled to see him! :-)   Hugs, Alicat =^..^=

c0435

Colly is a mainly a browny/ginger colour, with dashes of black and quite a bite of white, particularly round her nose. her most distinguishing feature is the fact that her left ear is really on a tiny stump. she was treated very badly when she was younger, hence the damaged ear and her incredibly timid temperament. Colly has turned up! mum just called me, at about 9.15pm monday evening, to let me know she came home. Someone on a site suggested leaving the back door open in the morning and evening, mum did this and called for a bit, then went and watched the telly. after an hour or so, she looked down to see her little girl eating away! she must have been out in the awful storm last night and is a bit bedraggled, but shes home. we are so relieved. thank you so much for your time and help. Hopefully, I wont need to get in touch again, but if anything happens you will be my first point of contact  Iain x

Hi Guys
Hes back, the wanderer returns, I cannot explain how im feeling. I had a call today at 7.30am from maintenance on site, sayin he was in the cat trap. It took until 11am to get him to the vets and confirmed he was mine, 99.9% sure it was him.
Drove to Yarmouth, finally got there about 5pm, was an absolutely exhausting day, what a relief when i saw him, i just cried with happiness. The best feeling in the world. Couldn't believe my eyes. Got such a lovely cuddle from him, and lots of nudges.    Im ecstatic.. on top of the world. Over the moon.
Special thanks to Sue, you were with me right through it all. Sue, you have been so supportive, i thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thankyou for being there for me.
I cant type this, someone keeps climbin all over me wanting lots of cuddles, my boy Deaken.   He is still as big and fluffy as ever, if not fluffier. Gotta go n snuggle him in bed now. Soooooooo glad hes home. Never give up, never ever. Keep asking people, posting more posters, just don't ever stop looking. Determination pays off in the end.
Night night all, and thankyou for all your support and efforts. You have been fantastic   Lisa

'Riot' of Weaverham

I picked up a rather sick kitten yesterday in Weaverham CW8, he's on medication so should hopefully be ok. He is an entire male age 4-5 months tabby, white bib and white paws - very noisy may be deaf, as you can see from his pic he is quite oriental looking. He was found lying in the road by my house so its possible he has been dumped on me but I would hate to think someone is out there searching for their baby
Hi Suethought I`d update you on the kitten I found in Weaverham- we have just found out he was dumped in the road by my house along with a litter mate who was taken in by a neighbour -still trying to find out who as Riot was poorly. Anyway good news is he has a home to go to as soon as he is neutered and vacc.  so many thanks for all your help. Keep up the good work   Teresa   Paws Inn cat rescue

Tia

Tia, is 20months old, long hair tabby with white paws, white tip on tail and white breast/underside. Recently rehomed, she is very nervous & timid -
SueExcellent news. We've got Tia back. Had a call last week from someone who had seen my poster and was sure she was visiting their garden every day. I got a trap from Cats Paws on Friday, set it Friday evening and Saturday morning there was Tia.   Absolutely gobsmacked. We honestly thought she was gone for good.   Now that she's back she seems relieved, for want of a better word, to be back home. She has lost a lot of weight and her fur is nowhere near as long as it was.
My wife is going to take her to the vet later this week for a comprehensive check up, but thankfully she is finally home.   Thanks very much for all your help and support.   Kind Regards   Paul

Bagpus a Ginger and White Chipped Male who has been missing since Monday 5th September . He was wearing a silver collar when he went awol...
Hi Sue, Just to let you know that Bagpus has come home this morning. He came in while we (me + other cats) were upstairs. It was breakfast time so they all got fed some tuna and their normal dry food. Then they went outside together to enjoy the sunshine. He is in very good health and seemed happy to see the others and they seemed glad to see him, sniffing and rubbing. The only thing that seemed to put him on edge more than usual was the catflap. He came in and out on his own, though gingerley.  Thank you for all your advice and support. Obviously you can remove his details from the website now. Take care  Helen

Monsterbackagain

Monster, a 10mth old Long Haired Black and White Male with very bushy tail, missing since the evening of the 14th May, from the Holts Lane area of Poulton le Fylde... MONSTERS BACK!!!!!!!!
We received a phone call from the Vets at Spen corner to say that they had seen Monster in their back garden staring into the Window looking very wet & hungry. She took him in, dried him off & fed him then realised he had a collar on(I'm amazed that it stayed on). She didn't recognise the number as a Blackpool number so realised he must be a lost cat.
I couldn't believe it when she called. Of all the placed to find him he turns up at a vet. He is in an excellent condition, a little bigger so I presume either someone has been feeding him or he has been able to fend for himself. He looks so well but is very eager to go outside  at the moment, but obviously we will be keeping him in for a few weeks.  A big Thankyou goes to the Spen Corner Veterinary Surgery of Blackpool for the part they played in getting Monster back home.

'Mimi' c.5th Aug.2005 - 15th Sept.2005
c0428

Mimi a 10yr old neutered female, Black with white paws, bib, whiskers and tummy. Long ears, nose, legs and tail. She talks a lot and makes weird noises! Was wearing a black plastic magnetic collar. GOOD NEWS - found her yesterday after several days of just missing her and meeting some very nice people and a very sick cat (Long story) who I could refer to an animal healer I know... Hope that works out - Mimi is fine, very skinny but shiny - the vet says she is fine but with a slightly high temperature so he'll see her again in a week or so for her microchip, inoculations etc... . she was living in the fields and gardens up a hill not more than 3/4 mile from my house, but across a main road and a canal, which may explain why she couldn't find her way back. But was she ever pleased to see me! No doubt about it, and I was so worried that she just didn't want to live here. She is eating for England, cuddling non stop and the clairvoyant who said she was fine was here last night and Mimi loved her to bits! I still can't believe she is here... Thank you so much for all your encouragement and support and good advice - have to take down the hundred plus posters now! Sophie isn't too thrilled, but I'm giving her lots of love and explaining to them both that they are both wonderful and I love them to bits - at the moment they are both asleep in here with me so that's a good sign! Also, today I phoned a lady I promised to tell when I found her, and she told me about another lady who had lost her cat - and I just so happen to know exactly where it is `as I met it recently, twice, a darling 7 month old cat, totally unlike Mimi, as in VERY fluffy, but so was the big fat spotty tomcat I was called out to inspect!- people are funny! The posters are quite clear about Mimi's size and sex and shape, but it's sweet that people bothered at all. Anyway, I'm hoping to catch up on some sleep now and get life back to normal. Friday night, thank goodness, so it's a big glass of wine to celebrate now!   Jan

'Misu' 4th Sept.2005 - 18th Sept.2005
c0450

Misu is a Havana Oriental (brown) 2 year old, neutered and microchipped
We found her!!!!!!!

I got a call earlier this evening. A couple had seen her in their garden the past few days eyeing their fish pond. I persuaded them to let me come over before it got dark. Twilight being the hour of the cat. I had put a poster on the telegraph post outside their house this afternoon I called and she answered. Came running over to me She yowled in the crate all the way home and we had a family re-union on the lawn. She is now happily asleep on my lap and hubby is cooking dinner. I just think that we have been incredibly fortunate to retrieve her so fast.
This may encourage others who have lost cats. I was single minded and determined to do everything I could and it has paid off.
Thank you so much for the trouble you have taken. If there is anything which I can do to assist, please just let me know  xxJan
Misu had escaped from a local cattery situated aprox 15miles from the owners home - she had been wandering for 10 days before being found and the odds against her returning home so soon were enormous.   A Huge thankyou to the couple who allowed her to size up the possibilities of a goldfish for her tea :)
